Joe Kline is a freelance photographer based in Bend, Oregon. His work focuses on moments that tell a story, and the subtle and revealing characteristics of subjects.
After graduating from the Rochester Institute of Technology and interning at a few Midwest newspapers, Joe explored Idaho as a staff photojournalist for the Idaho State Journal, then relocated to Central Oregon where he also worked on staff for The Bulletin in Bend.
He enjoys time spent outdoors in the incredible surroundings of the Western U.S. and always keeps a camera handy for life’s big and small moments. Joe is available for hire for a variety of photographic needs in Central Oregon and beyond – portraits, editorial assignments, sporting events, commercial work, and more. Clients include The Wall Street Journal, The Associated Press, Oregon State University, 1859 Magazine, AARP, and more.
Joe has received a variety of awards and recognition for his work over the years, most recently first place and runner-up awards from the Society of Professional Journalists' Pacific Northwest Excellence in Journalism 2017 competition.
