Joe Kline is a photographer based in Bend, Oregon. He strives to capture moments, subtleties, and intimacy in his work.
After graduating from the Rochester Institute of Technology and interning at a few Midwest newspapers, Joe spent five years exploring Idaho as a staff photojournalist for the Idaho State Journal.
Joe relocated to Central Oregon where he works for The Bulletin in Bend. He enjoys time spent outdoors in the incredible surroundings of the Western U.S. and always keeps a camera handy for life’s big and small moments.
Outside of his newspaper work, Joe is available for hire for a variety of photographic needs in Central Oregon and beyond – weddings, portraits, sporting events, editorial assignments, and more. Clients include The Wall Street Journal, The Associated Press, 1859 Magazine, AARP, COLE Publishing, and more. Joe has received a variety of awards and recognition for his work over the years, most recently first place and runner-up awards from the Society of Professional Journalists' Pacific Northwest Excellence in Journalism 2017 competition.
