Barbara Cooper puts her head on husband Rick's shoulder after talking about their current circumstances outside the Bend Value Inn where the couple has been staying in the wake of an accidental shooting. According to the Cooper's, Barbara's gun accidentally fired while the couple was eating, wounding Rick. The accident happened as the Cooper's were in the process of moving to Bend, and Rick lost his job prospects in the process.

A pet albino rat receives oxygen from Pocatello firefighters through a small animal oxygen mask after being rescued from an apartment fire in Pocatello. The rat was found in a partially-burned cage, and four of the five cats in the residence were also saved from the fire and given oxygen.
